Pictured Rocks Vacation - Monday
Monday - Arrive and put water on trail
We ended up running and hiking 8 miles to get the water and Gatorade in place. But we saw some nice things so it served two purposes. Miranda was kind enough to carry the back pack for us. We took pics of each spot and wrote them down so we would remember where they were.

Pictured Rocks Vacation - Wednesday
Wednesday - National Lakeshore Trail
Laura, Melissa, and Dad did this 42.4 mile trail. Started at 7:45 am at the Grand Sable Visitor Ctr by Grand Marais and finished around 8:10 pm at Munising Falls. Took some three hours of breaks for eating, pictures, and talking. We had a good time and will do again if we get the chance. There was a nice breeze coming in off the lake and sunny skies. No bugs!! A few mosquito's the last couple of miles during walk breaks.
We carried our food, (gels, granola, trail mix, slim jims, sport beans, reeses, m&m's, dougnuts, and salt)
Water was stationed prior at four locations and included gatorade, pop, and boost. We also carried a first aid kit, phone, and toilet paper.
The first few miles were thru meadows that had lots of dew still on the grass. This lead to wet feet, but they dried out pretty quick.
